In the event of a heat wave, should you drink hot or cold water?
This is a question that comes up quite often in the mouths of drink consumers, should you drink hot or cold water on a daily basis? or in case of high heat should you drink cold?
it is noted that drinking cold in case of strong heat provides a very pleasant sensation of refreshment, but does not effectively thermo-regulate our body. That is to say, it does not help sweating. However, sweating is the only valve mechanism that the body knows how to put in place to lower our body temperature, so it is advisable in the event of a heat wave to drink water at least at room temperature, even lukewarm (13°C) .
On the other hand, drinking too hot is not ideal, because it would cause too much sweating which would promote dehydration of the body.
If you are not in a heat wave, you have no gastric problem and your body has a stable homeostasis, it is up to you according to your tastes to consume cold, warm or hot water!
